Booking

How do I book a workshop?
Choose a workshop on the Workshops page and select a date. Booking is online and confirmed by email with the meeting point and what to bring.
How big are the groups?
Workshops take no more than eight people. Aerial tours take four, land tours no more than eight.
What is the minimum age?
Participants must be 18 or over for most workshops. Contact us about younger photographers attending with a parent or guardian.
Can I give a workshop as a gift?
Yes. Gift vouchers are available for any amount.
Cancellations & transfers

Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Payments are non-refundable, but you can transfer your booking to another CapturEDU workshop scheduled within 12 months of the original date. Cancellations must be made in writing.
What if I cancel close to the date?
If you cancel within three months of a tour or workshop and your place can't be filled, the fee may be forfeited. We always try to rebook your place first.
What if CapturEDU cancels?
You can transfer to another date or program. If a workshop is cancelled before it starts, payments are refunded or transferred.
What happens in bad weather?
Light rain is often great for photography. If conditions make a session unsafe or unworkable, we'll move you to another date or transfer your booking.

What camera do I need?
A mirrorless or DSLR camera with manual controls suits most workshops. Smartphone and Street workshops work with a phone.
Do I need a tripod?
For night, blue hour, sunset, light painting and long exposure workshops, yes. Tripods are available to hire.
Is equipment insured?
You are responsible for your own equipment. We recommend it is covered by your home or travel insurance.
Tours
Tours.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. Travel insurance is mandatory for all tours and must be in place when you book, with at least US$200,000 cover for accident, medical and repatriation.
How fit do I need to be?
Each tour is graded. Most involve short walks on uneven ground, stairs and carrying your own camera gear.
Can itineraries change?
Yes. We adjust plans for weather, safety and light. Your tour leader's decision is final on safety matters.
